Anathema es una banda de rock progresivo algo dificil de explicar, fue fundada en Liverpool en 1990 y que, junto con Paradise Lost y My Dying Bride, colaboro con el desarrollo del Doomdeath Metal. Desde de su tercer album (Eternity), Anathema se ha ido alejando poco a poco de la escena doom e incluso del metal. Ahora con ritmos mas lentos, guitarras mas limpias en su distorsión que aportaban un ambiente mucho mas negativo, depresivo, noestalgico, atmosferico, e incluso poetico entre otras sensaciones. Tambien la inclusion de las voces femieninas contribuye añadiendole una cierta belleza melodica en la tristeza de sus canciones. Las filosas letras de sus canciones dan justo en la llaga (sumandole el ambiente que crea su musica) como "Electricity" o "Are You There?", letras que haran que quieras regresar el tiempo, asi que si escuchas Anathema en soledad te hara pedazos, te traera recuerdos, te volvera muy fragil, te sentiras solo, etc. Por mas que escriba de este grupo me sentire insatisfecho pues es tan complicado. Anathema no es solo Rock Atmosferico, tambien tiene sus buenos toques de Hard Rock como en "Fragile Dreams" que si es algo energica, recomiendo muchisimo "Pressure" que es buenisima para escapar. Bien, todos los discos puestos aqui son de lo mejor, y no es su discografia, no tengo los discos de su etapa Doomdeath por que creo que estos les sera de su agrado.A Anathema se le ha llegado a comparar con Pink Floyd y Radiohead. OK, este grupo si es realmente diferente a lo anterior puesto en el blog, si conocen un grupo similar haganmelo saber, musica de gran calidad como toda la que subo (al menos eso creo), de instrospeccion, relax, sad... etc. Ya saben, bajen, comenten y ENJOY.
